Vaccine for the 2020/2021 Flu Season
Who should get the vaccine?
All children from 6 months to 23 months and all children with asthma, diabetes, heart defects, kidney disease, and any other chronic illnesses, and older siblings of infants less than 6 months of age should receive this vaccine.
Any child who is under the age of 9 years of age and has never had the Influenza vaccine before will need a booster dose in a minimum of four weeks. Children past their 9th birthday and children of any age who have received the vaccine before need only one shot this year,
When will it be given?
The dates for the administration of the vaccine are
Saturday September 12
Saturday October 10
Saturday November 7
Fluzone Quadrivalent multi-dose vial vaccine is given at all Flu shot clinics. Eligible children may also receive the vaccine at a regularly scheduled office visit. All children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian.
How much is the vaccine?
Check with your insurance carrier to see if this is a covered service.
If not you will be responsible for the $50 charge for the vaccine at the time the injection is given.
